RUNTAI WEATHERPROOF NEUTRAL SILICONE SEALANT 

Overview
 

RT-8500 is a ready to use, one component, neutral fast curing silicone sealant for structural applications. It cures at room
temperature by the action with atmosphere moisture to become a permanently flexible silicone sealant. It has good adhesion with
wide range of surfaces without the need of priming and professional quality.

 

Key Features 

-One part, neutral, room temperature curing.
-High flexibility, high modulus with excellent performance.
-Excellent adhesion to a wide range of curtain wall materials such as coated, enameled and reflective glass, anodized oxidation or
coated aluminum and stainless steel.
-High level of mechanical properties with joint movement capacity of ±12.5%.
-Neutral cured, no corrosion, non poisonous.
-Excellent stability in a wide range temperature at -50ºC~+150ºC .
-Excellent weatherproof feature and a high resistance to UV radiation, high temperature and humidity.

Application

-Structural glazing applications such as: used for structural adhesion and seal the joints of the structural glass and metal in
the factory or building site.
-Assembly of curtain walls .
-Assembly of glass construction project.

Application Restrictions

-RT-8500 silicone sealant should not be applied in the following conditions:
-To all surfaces that bleed oils, plasticizers or solvents, and some uncured or sulfurized rubber.
-To the unventilated space or the surface which can touch the food or water directly.
-When the surface's temperature is below 4ºC or above 40ºC .
-To materials contained copper or copper alloy, painted surface, which may cause paint cracking or paint stripping.
-To the surfaces with lime power, concrete or sand again.
-Please read company's technical files before application. Compatibleness test and bonding test must be done for construction
materials before application.
